Biography
Catherine George was born in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, on January 23, 1790, the daughter of Enez and Eve George who are buried in Dutch Hill Cemetery in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.. Catherine married Abraham Rees in Pennsylvania abt. 1806 and he died on the 8th of April, 1861, at the age of 73, in Franklin, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was buried in Franklin Stone Heap Cemetery in Unityville, same county. Catharine died six years later, on the 25th of April, 1867, at age 77, and was buried in the same cemetery as her parents, about fifteen miles from her husband’s resting place.
