Biography

James Temple was the son of William Temple and Mary Magdalena Doctor. He was born in 1838 in Penn, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, and married Rebecca Alice Reese on the 29th of December, 1859, in Muncy, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. In 1850, he was living in Madison, Columbia County, Pennsylvania, and in 1860 he was living in Franklin, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was killed in a logging accident in 1865, at the age of 27, leaving Rebecca a 21-year old widow with four young children.

  2. Henrietta Hester Temple (b. 1859)
  3. William H. Temple (1865-1953)
  4. John Lloyd Temple (1860-1937)
