Biography
John Burrill was born March 10, 1742, in Thompson, Connecticut. He was a soldier in the French War and was one of the 400 men sent to the West Indies in 1762. He was present at the capture of Havanah and Moro Castle, possibly the last living survivor of that regiment. He married Mary Eaton January 12, 1767, and together they had several children. He died February 6, 1832, in Thompson, at the age of 91.
