  2. John Farrow, baptized June 6, 1639, and married first to Mary Hillard, daughter of William Hillard, on Aug. 14, 1664. Their daughter, Esther Farrow, born June 28, 1675, married Jeremiah Beal. She died Sept. 13, 1689.

Biography

John was born in Hingham, Norfolk, England and was a carpenter by trade. He married Frances Carpenter abt. 1633 and they sailed to the New World in 1635, settling in Hingham in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Their two year old daughter, Mary, took the voyage with them. Land in Hingham was granted to John in 1636. He died on July 7, 1687 at the age of 78 or 79. His wife died the following year, on January 29, 1688-9. Mary, "wife of Samuel Stowell”, is mentioned in his will, dated the 28th of March, 1687. He also mentions his granddaughter, “Mary, wife of John Garnet.” His will was probated on the 17th of August, 1687.

 

According to data contributed at Findagrave, his father was Nichlos Farrow (born 1576). Additional research needed.
