Biography
Lewis Leonard was born on the 4th of October, 1869, in Locke, Cayuga County, New York. He was the son of Charles Russell Leonard and Mary Brown. He married Cora Sherman, daughter of James Sherman and Amy Dow, in Moravia, Cayuga County, New York, on Dec. 20, 1886. Lewis and Cora had four known children including Albert, Elma, James and Ethel. Lewis died from Typhoid fever on the 16th of October, 1897, in Westfield, Tioga County, Pennsylvania, at the age of 28. He is buried in Osceola, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
