Biography

Lois Beckwith was born in Lyme, New London, Connecticut, on July 11, 1725. She was the daughter of Mathew Beckwith and Elisheba Raynor. "She may be the Mrs. Lois Huntley who died in Lyme in August, 1793. [Lyme 1st Cong. Church record]", according to Virgil Huntley's book, "John Huntley, immigrant of Boston & Roxbury, Massachusetts and Lyme, Connecticut, 1647-1977, and some of his descendants", page 99.

 

Lois's ancestry is documented back to the time of William the Conqueror and connected to the Royal Bruces of Scotland. (Lineage found here).
