Mathew Beckwith was a son of Mathew Beckwith. He was the third generation to share the name. He was "born at Guilford, Ct., April 13th 1667, and died there June 4th, 1740; married Elizabeth, February 17th, 1721; she was born at New London and died at Lyme in 1746". Source: The Beckwiths, p. 76.
