Biography

Nicholas Smith married in Ireland to a woman by the name of Bridget who died on April 1, 1873, at the age of 72, probably in or near Broome County, New York. They came to America sometime between 1840 and 1851. Nicholas died on July 10, 1882, at the age of 84. His death is not found in the NY State Death Index., nor could I locate his obituary or news on the administration of his will.

  1. Thomas Smith, born 1827 in Ireland. He married Bridget Heffernan and had six children: Nicholas Smith and Mary (Smith) Delaney being one of them. (Photo)

  4. John Smith, born abt. 1835 in Ireland.
