Biography

Peter was born in Pomfret, Connecticut, son of Elias Chevalier and Mary Adams. He fought as a Patriot in the American Revolution and moved to New York, after the war. In 1790, he was counted on the census in Coxsackie, Albany County, New York. In 1800, he was counted in Cairo, Greene County, New York.
