Biography
Sarah Fairfield was a daughter of Daniel Fairfield and Remember Stevens (daughter of Moses & Waitstill Stevens). Sarah and her twin, Daniel, were baptized May 16, 1725, at Wenham. Sarah was married first to Israel Rich of Sutton. The marriage intention was filed at Oxford in July, 1744. They had at least three children before Israel died at Worcester in 1748. She married second to Benjamin Fitts of Sutton on Oct. 31, 1749. They were married in Sutton and had at least five more children before her death, which occurred between 1759 and 1762.

- Daniel Fitts (1753-1837)
- Walter Fitts, born April 4, 1755, married Sarah Merriam.
- Robert Fitts, born March 27, 1757, died 1837 at Auburn. Married Phebe Patch.
- Edward Fitts, born Feb. 10, 1759. Killed in the Revolution)
