Thomas Brownell was born before June 5, 1608, in Yorkshire, England. He was the son of Robert Gilberthorpe Brownell and Mary Wilson of Rotherham. Thomas married Anne Bourne. He died on September 24, 1664, at Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island.
