Biography

Arthur E. Dykeman was born January, 1871 in Candor, New York. He was found in Candor on the census of 1875, 1880, and 1892. He married in Candor on November 7, 1897, to Olive J. Jacobs. In 1900, when the census was taken, he was working away from home in Genoa, Cayuga County, New York, and Olive was in Candor living with her parents. It appears they were separated. Arthur and Olive had at least one child: Vena, and possibly another daughter named Mahala Mae Dykeman (1902-1984) who married Carl Samuel Walden, Sr.

Children

Arthur Dykeman & Olive Jane Jacobs were the parents of my ancestor,

  1. Vena Dykeman (1898-1986)

  2. Mahala Mae Dykeman (1902-1984), who married Carl Samuel Walden, Sr.
