Elizabeth Ashton was born in Cossington, Charnwood Borough, Leicestershire, England, in 1566. She married Matthew Webster on April 17, 1587, and he died five years later, in 1592. As a widow at the age of 26, it seems likely that she remarried, although nothing further has been found (yet).
