Biography

John Underhill was born abt. 1780 in New York and married Sarah Barnhart. He was a carpenter and a farmer. They moved from New York to Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania abt. 1839 and there they both died in 1851, both aged 76.

Children

John Underhill & Sarah Barnhart were the parents of my ancestor,

  1. Dewitt Clinton Underhill, born 1811, married Nellie E. Higley, born 1816.

  2. Sarah M. Underhill, born bet. 1815-1820, married Joshua Stage before 1840 and died before 1900.

  3. Bartow Underhill, died before 1900 in California.

  4. Saloma Underhill, born bet. 1825-1830 and married Raymond Mayo before 1850.
