Biography

Nicholas Hollenbeck was born on the 10th of February 1822, in Cincinnatus, Cortland County, New York. He was the son of John Hollenbeck. He married Lucy Ann Shevalier in 1851. He died on the 26th of September, 1904, and Lucy died six months later, on the 4th of March, 1905, both in Willet.

Children

Nicholas Hollenbeck & Lucy Ann Shevalier were the parents of my ancestor,

  • "Adelaide "Addie" Hollenbeck, b. Dec. 22, 1854, in Willet. Married Luman Jones on Jan. 1, 1872, and died on Apr. 10, 1942, in German, New York.
  • Cassius Hollenbeck, b. Oct. 25, 1857, in Willet. He was an Attorney practicing law for 45 years before his death on Apr. 19, 1927.
  • Eleanor "Ella" Hollenbeck, b. Nov. 9, 1858, married Mr. Seeber after 1880 and was widowed by 1910.
  • Jasper Hollenbeck, b. June 9, 1861, in Willet.
  • Seymour Hollenbeck, b. Aug. 27, 1864, in Willet. Married Amelia Conrad abt. 1886 and died on Apr. 5, 1939, in Willet.
  • Nicholas "Nickey" Hollenbeck, Jr., b. Sept. 30, 1867, in Willet. Married Ella M. Cambell on Feb. 5, 1890, and died Apr. 23, 1939, in Blodgett Mills, New York. She was the daughter of William Campbell.
