Biography
Raymond H. Mayo was born in March of 1824, in New York. He was a son of Ezekiel Mayo and Rebecca Hazard. He married Hannah Saloma Underhill in or before 1846 and the family lived in Great Bend, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. He registered for the draft in the 13th Congressional District on July of 1863. He was a 39-year old Laborer living in Terry, Pennsylvania, with New York given as his birthplace.
Raymond died on September 30, 1901, in West Burlington, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. He is buried in New Era Cemetery in New Era, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

- Harvey Mayo, born abt. 1845, living in Albany, Bradford, PA in 1900.
- Almira Mayo, born abt. 1846
- Ezekiel Mayo, born bet. 1849-1850; a farmer; died from cancer of the stomach on Nov. 15, 1899 in Rummerfield, Bradford, PA; buried in Liberty Corners Cemetery; had two known children: Ethel Mayo and William Mayo.
- Oscar Mayo (1851-1937)
- Ruby Mayo, born abt. 1855
- Albert Mayo, born on 5 July 1859 in PA; married; died Oct. 30, 1910 in Overton Township, Bradford, PA; buried Nov. 2, 1910 in Hatch Hill Cemetery (also called Mount Tabor Cemetery) in Bradford County.
- Eliza Mayo, born in 1861 and died in 1871; buried in New Era Cemetery in New Era, Bradford, PA; headstone reads “Eliza Mayo aged 9 yrs. & 20 d’s”.
