PA Death Certificate of Noble C. May; File #56784; Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. Noble was born July 8, 1839, and died on June 28, 1909. The names given for his parents were Ezekiel Mayo and Rebecca Haziad (Hazard).

Biography
Rebecca Hazard was born in 1801, possibly in Worcester, Otsego County, New York. The family was found there on the 1800 census and her brother, Hiram's obituary states that he was born there in 1804. It also states that soon after, the family moved to Great Bend, Pennsylvania from there to Broome County, New York, about 1817. Rebecca married Ezekiel Mayo before 1824 and they had five known children. Their first four were born in New York through 1834, but Noble, their 5th child, was born in Pennsylvania in 1839 and Rebecca's family was counted on the census in Great Bend in 1840, 1850, and 1860. Both her father and husband, Ezekiel, died in 1863. Her mother died in 1867 and Rebecca died in 1872. She is buried with her husband in Newman Cemetery in Great Bend, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.
