Biography

Valentine Allen was born bet. 1835-1837, in Montour County, Pennsylvania. He married Margaret McGarvey, who was born in 1841. Her parents may have been William McGarvey and Mary Ann Graham. Additional research needed.

 

Valentine died in Danville, Montour County. (Important: Danville is the county seat of Montour County, which had been formed from part of Mahoning Township in Columbia County in Feb. 1849. Columbia County had been formed from part of Northumberland County in 1813.) See Source: Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania : a collection of historical and biographical sketches, by D.
