Biography
William Knowlton was born in London, England. See his Memorial on Findagrave for more details. He appears to have two entries on Findagrave. Memorial #34381388 and #70063798.
An article in a Barron County, Wisconsin, newspaper states the following: "In 1632 Captain William Knowlton left London, England, for America. Now, you might ask, what does that have to do with Barron County? Well, when Knowlton left he brought his wife and four children with him and although he died on the way, his wife and children went to Nova Scotia and later settled in Massachusetts. Eventually, some of the Knowltons left New England and came to the midwest."
Children
William Knowlton Sr & Ann Elizabeth Smith were the parents of my ancestor,
