JACK BENNY

This painting by Norman Rockwell is a companion piece to his earlier portrait of the comedian, Bob Hope. Jack Benny was an American comedian, radio host, vaudevillian, and actor. He had a comedy show called "The Jack Benny Program" in the 1930s. In 1949 the show moved to television and the series was aired through the 1960s. This painting was the cover for the Saturday Evening Post, March 2, 1963.
