William Bradford
William Bradford was born in 1590 in Austerfield, Yorkshire, England. He was approximately 30 years old when he sailed on the Mayflower.
William Bradford was the head of his group, 'the Bradford group'. They were members of the Leiden Congregation from Holland. He was a Separatist. He was a signer of the Mayflower Compact and served as Governor until 1657.
