Rachel Donelson Jackson

Miniature of Rachel Donelson Jackson, done by Anna C Peale in Washington, D.C., in 1815. After the death of his "beloved Rachel" General Jackson wore this miniature in his bosom every day and, at night, place it beside his Bible on a little table at his bedside.
