Charles F. LEONARD of Ithaca, Tompkins, New York in 1850 was born 10 Jan 1830 in New York and died 13 Jan 1914 from pneumonia. Charles was the son of Levi Leonard, an influential man who was Ithaca’s 8th President. Levi’s father was Asa Leonard of Berkshire.
In 1850 Charles and his brother, William H. Leonard (1819-1869) were on staff at the Clinton House Hotel in Ithaca. William was “Hotel Keeper”, while Charles was “clerk”. Charles married Esther Ann Davenport abt. 1852 in Owego and the family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Menomonie, Dunn County, Wisconsin.
