Capt. Joseph Smith's Company

Capt. Joseph Smith’s Company of Militiamen in Sudbury, Massachusetts, reportedly contained at least 50 men. The company belonged to Col. James Barrett's Regiment.

Entered the conflict at Arlington.

At least 2,478 men from Middlesex County responded to the alarm on April 19, 1775. Of these, 249 were from Sudbury. The names of the men in three of the county's companies (approximately 150 men) are lost.
