Capt. Phinehas Cook's Company

Capt. Phinehas Cook's Company of Minutemen in Newton, Massachusetts, reportedly contained at least 37 men. The company belonged to Capt. Lieut. John Marean's Regiment.

Entered the conflict at Lexington.

At least 2,478 men from Middlesex County responded to the alarm on April 19, 1775. Of these, 222 were from Newton. The names of the men in three of the county's companies (approximately 150 men) are lost.
