Capt. William Ellis's Company

Capt. William Ellis's Company of Militiamen in Dedham, Massachusetts, reportedly contained at least 25 men. The company belonged to Col. William Heath's Regiment.

Entered the conflict at Arlington.

At least 676 men from Norfolk County responded to the alarm on April 19, 1775. Of these, 335 were from Dedham. The names of the men in two Brookline companies (est. 100 men) are lost.
