Capt. William Whitcomb's Company

Capt. William Whitcom's Company of Militiamen in Stow, Massachusetts, reportedly contained at least 83 men. The company belonged to Col. James Prescott's Regiment.

Pursuit of the British from Concord.

At least 2,478 men from Middlesex County responded to the alarm on April 19, 1775. Of these, 83 were from Stow. The names of the men in three of the county's companies (approximately 150 men) are lost.
