"Behind every great man, is a great woman", so the saying goes. With that in mind, this is a follow up to last week's post, The amazing life of Edward Hazard Jr.
The woman photographed here was the great woman who was by Edward's side. She was Deborah Ballard, my maternal 6th Great-Grandmother, born in September of 1786. She married young, at the age of about 16 and died at the age of 80 on May 16, 1867 in Windsor, Broome County, New York. Click here to learn more about Deborah and her family.
