Such is the case with my 10th great-grandfather, James Ensign, "The Puritan". Fellow descendants can learn all about James and his descendants through the year 1939 in the "Record of the Descendants of James Ensign the Puritan 1634-1939", by Martha Eunice Ensign Nelson.


In the old days, before the internet, I can imagine this book was rare and hard to find. A visit to libraries or historical societies may have been required to gaze the pages of this work. Today, however, you can read it for free:
